Four exclusive Cottages are nestled on a Private 125 acre Nature Preserve in the Talamanca Mountain Range. The grounds include over one kilometer of riverside along the majestic Chirripó River as well as primary rainforest with its exuberant flora & fauna.

Pure Air, Clean Water & Spring-like Weather

At 4,000 ft above sea level, yet only an hour away from the warm Pacific Ocean, Monte Azul's daytime temperatures range from the 70s to about 80 degrees, with evenings and early mornings around the mid-60s year-round. Let the pure mountain water and healthy air help you to relax and enjoy.

Fine Art, Conservation & Social Responsibility

Monte Azul is more than just a place to stay. We are active members of the community, beautiful Chimirol de Rivas only 5 kilometers from Chirripó National Park.

We support the rich contemporary arts scene in Costa Rica with donations, stipends and acquisitions.

We also set aside 90% of our 125 acre property as a conservation area, protecting many species from losing precious, endangered habitat.

By training and hiring only local talent, we support our immediate community with jobs, training, business opportunities, as well as with donations to the local schools and scholarships for local students. Be a part of it!
