Carlos brings a substantial amount of
experience to these most recent ventures,
Rojas+Langendorfer and Monte Azul, with over
twenty years as a professional in the arts, as well as
an artist specializing in printmaking.
Notably, he was a founding partner of
1212 Gallery where he produced over 85% of the
gallery’s sales prior to his departure for Costa Rica.
Carlos was also a partner at Durka Rojas
Gallery, and Art Consultant/Salesperson at
prestigious Hackett Freedman Gallery in San
Francisco. His introduction to private art galleriescame
by way of Caldwell Snyder Gallery and Brookings
Gallery of San Francisco. Since 1990, Carlos has also
serviced an international clientele as an Independant
Art Dealer and Consultant.
His career in the public realm include
Curator at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco
where he curated revolving exhibitions at San Francisco
International Airport. Prior to that Carlos was the
Traveling Exhibitions Coordinator at the Mexican
Museum of San Francisco.
Currently, Carlos designs the imagery
and layout for the Costa Rica Series and many of
the Limited Edition works of Monte Azul
Gráfica. He is also Director of
Rojas+Langendorfer using his many contacts to
service our Collectors and Artists, and Director of the
Artists Programs including residencies,
workshops, seminars, and fine art editions of Monte
Azul Press.
As an artist Carlos’ works on paper and
on canvas have been collected in California and Europe
with exhibitions and awards in California at UC
Berkeley, California State Fair, Ft. Mason, Círculo de
Bellas Artes in Madrid and private galleries in
California.
