From the airpot take the Costanera highway SOUTH to Dominical, approximately 25 minutes.

Upon arriving at DOMINICAL, followsign to San Isidro de El General LEFT approximately 1:15 to Monte Azul.

Conitnue with directions from Dominical, below.

From the Costanera highway, cross the bridge and follow the sign to San Isidro de el General TURN RIGHT. Stay on this road passing over the Costeña Mountains and down to the Valle del General.

ARRIVING in SAN ISIDRO DEL GENERAL in PERÉZ ZELEDÓN

Continue on the same road through town. Near the center of town, the road becomes ONE WAY against you. TURN RIGHT at the PALI MARKET. At the next block (end of street) TURN LEFT.

At the end of this street, arrive at the Central Square and Cathedral and TURN RIGHT. Continue along the park until arriving at the Pan-American /Interamericana. TURN RIGHT.

After passing the second bridge, look on the left for MAXI BODEGA (large grocery store).On the same side (LEFT), follow up the small hill on a road parallel to the highway.

Continue for about 20 minutes and arrive at the town of RIVAS. Pass the large church in the center of town, at the point where the pavement ends (about 100 meters from church), follow sign to Parque Nacional Chirripó, to the RIGHT.

After about 6 kilometers, about 10 to 15 minutes, pass BAR LAS PALMAS, (look for the PILSEN beer sign) on the LEFT. Take the SECOND RIGHT, at the corner by the bus stop on the RIGHT and continue across the bridge to immediately arrive at Monte Azul.
