The Talamanca Mountain range in southern Costa Rica is crowned by the country’s highest peak, Chirripó, at over 12,500 feet. This is home to some of the most rugged and spectacular scenery and wildlife in the country where Chirripó National Park connects to La Amistad International Park. Declared a "Biosphere Reserve" by Unesco in 1982, both parks comprise the most biologically diverse area in Costa Rica and the largest unspoiled forest, totaling over 244,079 hectares or 602,875 acres.
Over 400 species of birds, 215 species of mamals, 263 species of amphibians and reptiles and 115 species of fish populate the Paramos (Andean-type woodlands), highland marshlands, oak forests, madroño forests, fern groves and mixed forests, with species such as: batamba, oak, sweet cedar, nargusta, elm, Poás magnolia, ira, cypress and manni.
Designed by Randall Langendorfer, the Talamanca Collection pays tribute to the strength, grandeur and beauty of that extraordinary wilderness. With minimal distraction from the natural beauty of the wood, simple lines complement and enhance the appreciation of the Cedro Amargo, all of which is 100% certified.
Each side of the platform is angled at 15°, enough to add a touch of sophistication, and is supported by three-cornered legs elegantly tapered to give the appearance of growing from the ground. No stains are used, the color will naturally age to warmer and deeper tones over time.
This is the line of furniture that will cradle you to a restful sleep at Monte Azul Hotel’s stylish suites.
