Chimirol, Pérez Zeledón

The community of Chimirol is a vital part of Monte Azul’s identity. We are committed to developing long term relationships; 100% of our staff is from the immediate area (95% live within 1 mile). Our hope is to offer not just jobs, but also career training and development through educational and business opportunities. As Monte Azul grows, so does our staff’s expertise. In fact, so vital is the contribution from our staff that some are now partners of Monte Azul businesses.

As part of our desire to integrate with the community of Chimirol, Monte Azul has spearheaded many projects including the Organic Farmer’s Market, Chimirol Beautification Project, Community Recycling Program, Organic Agricultural Methods, Reforestation, and Cottage Industries.
